The name is pretty explanatory. It gives you insights about your website’s speed. This free tool will tell you about the performance issues it finds on your site, as well as give your site a performance grade.

2. Pingdom Website Speed Test

This awesome looking tool gives you everything you need to know about your site’s performance including loading time, page size, a detailed page analysis, and more. You can sort and filter this list in different ways to identify performance bottlenecks.

3. OctaGate Site Timer

This one shows you a waterfall timeline of how objects on the web page you’re testing is being downloaded.  It also tells you how long it takes for your web page to load completely.

4. GTMetrix

This one combines two of the most popular web performance tools – Yslow (YSlow analyzes web pages and then determines why they’re slow based on Yahoo!’s rules for high performance web sites, and then offers tips for improvement.
