As part of the of the recent Year of You webinar, I asked all the attendees to tell me their BIG idea for 2017. Where did they want to go? What did they want to accomplish? Was it finding a new career? Improving their design skills? Maybe learning to code as a total beginner?

Here are just a few of the big ideas you shared with me (from the over 900 you sent in!)…

“I want to propel my career – from struggling freelancer to an in-demand and well paid, savvy individual; with a faster and more professional work turnaround time and product, a great portfolio and very importantly, enthusiasm for and ENJOYMENT of my working days.” – Megan

“I want to use my skills to eventually work remotely, but I also have an idea based on learning; I want to start a group teach other beginnings how to code here in Dubai.” – Sophie

“I know nothing about coding at the moment, but my goal for 2017 is to find an escape plan out of my career as a hairstylist…I want to figure out what type of freelance coding job would be great for me. So here I am, taking the first step to start a new career:)” – Sarah

Feeling stuck, like you can’t get out of a situation you hate, is the worst feeling. And unfortunately, it’s really common to feel stuck in your job. I’ve been there, more than once.

But the good news is that that terrible “stuck in a career rut” problem is eminently solvable, even if it doesn’t FEEL that way.

This is why I was so excited to host the webinar—so we could talk about that stuck feeling, brainstorm some concrete steps you can take to get OUT of your stuck place, and—most importantly—get inspired about where you want to go.

Whatever your 2017 career goal is, one thing is for sure: you need an actionable, step-by-step plan for getting there. Right?

If nothing else, I bet you could use some inspiration for making your own plan!

Which is why I’ve spent the last month working with my team to create exactly that.

I’ve been working on a new Ultimate Guide—a 60+ page PDF/ebook that’ll show you how to get to where you want to go in your career this year. The Ultimate Guide to Coding for Beginners will teach you how, with only a personal computer and an Internet connection, you already have the tools you need to achieve the goals on your career “to-do” list: Learn to code, learn design skills, and then land that dream job you’ve been thinking about

The Guide gives you a step-by-step plan for how to make more money, gain more flexibility, and all-around learn to love your work again!

In the Ultimate Guide to Coding for Beginners you’ll learn:

  • How to break learning tech skills down into phases that makes it all feel more manageable
  • How to figure out what direction you want your new career to take
  • Where to actually learn the skills you need for a new career
  • How to find a job you love with your new skills
