This time last year, I didn’t know much about WordPress either. I understood the concept of a CMS (content management system), and I had used WordPress.com to manage my food blog. But I didn’t understand that learning to build a self-hosted WordPress site and join the community of developers, designers, and content creators who make WordPress what it is could be so transformative to my career.
And when I got my first WordPress project, I didn’t know what I was getting into. I would have given up chocolate pudding snack cups (hello, yum) and probably my car if I could have taken the Skillcrush WordPress Blueprint before diving in headfirst.
But I digress. If you’re like I was last year, you don’t know WHAT you know about WordPress.
