Last week, we discussed the elements that make up a great web design portfolio (and what an important part portfolios play in starting a web design career).

Now let’s take a look at some designers that have done an excellent job at incorporating these elements into their portfolio sites. Here are 7 beautiful web design portfolios, from simple to complex, that have really hit it out of the park:

Cedric Vella

Cedric’s portfolio incorporates gorgeous photography and is easy to navigate. He includes a sticky navigation, and the call to action (to contact him for work) is clear throughout. The full screen layout draws the user in with an immersive, full-screen display. This strong visual imagery makes a statement while keeping the user interface (UI) intuitive and easy to use.

Next is this beautiful design portfolio website from Unikea. Your eye is immediately drawn to this portfolio. The use of white space shows off the work clearly and is also user friendly. This portfolio shows a great use of typography, and as you scroll over the top navigation, the tabs change color to highlight the text.

Yaron Schoen

This portfolio uses color in a bold and exciting way. The artist changes the color of the background based on the project. The table of contents navigation is also well structured and creative. Try clicking through the “about” section to gather inspiration for your own design portfolio website!

Maren Vernon

This portfolio site outlines Maren’s skills in a straightforward, resume style manner, but the real beauty of this design portfolio website is the JavaScript. Open up each tab and watch as the text seems to type open on the screen. We promise you’ll love playing around with her site. Inspired to add some gorgeous interactive effects to your portfolio? Maren added these effects when she took Skillcrush 102 on JavaScript and jQuery!

One thing I’d really like to say is that often before buying more computer system memory, look at the machine in which it can be installed. If the machine is running Windows XP, for instance, a memory ceiling is 3.25GB. Using in excess of this would merely constitute a waste. Make certain that one’s mother board can handle your upgrade quantity, as well. Interesting blog post.
