As some of you may know, Skillcrush is located in New York City. We, along with a few million of our neighbors, spent yesterday holed up in our apartments, filling up our bathtubs with water, and following the storm on TV and the Web.
This morning, we woke to calmer weather, but a barrage of new stories about the damage that Sandy has wrought. At least 16 people have died, many others have been hurt, and over 80 houses burned in the Far Rockaways. Big chunks of lower Manhattan are out of power, including many of the hospitals on the Eastside, and water has filled subway stations and the Battery Park Tunnel.
Please stay safe and warm wherever you are, and we hope to be back at it shortly.
